Phoenix Coming to Tokyo in April 2019
Last year indie pop band Phoenix visited Tokyo for three intimate club shows, supporting their album “Ti Amo”.
Since then this recent controversy around their old hit song “Lisztomania” and American congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has turned on a lot of people to their catchy tunes (again).
So exactly one year later, the French group will be back again, though this time for a round of five concerts (all at the same venue in Shibuya, Tokyo).
The shows are part of the “International Music Festival SOMEWHERE” which also features Justice (DJ set) and Carl Barat (Libertines, Dirty Little Things) on different days.
Here are the exact dates of the five shows:
All at Shibuya Stream Hall, Tokyo
April 19th (Fri) – Doors: 18:30 / Start: 19:30
April 20th (Sat) – Doors: 18:30 / Start: 19:30
April 22nd (Mon) – Doors: 18:30 / Start: 19:30
April 23rd (Tue) – Doors: 18:30 / Start: 19:30
April 24th (Wed) – Doors: 18:30 / Start: 19:30
All standing: 12,900 yen
Includes a glass of “sparkling sake” (on 5th floor)
How to buy tickets
Tickets are already on sale through the usual Japanese ticket sites such as eplus or Ticket Pia. Overseas visitors, can conveniently purchase them through iFlyer, too.
