Planning to add a visit to Tokyo Disneyland or Disney Sea to your Japan trip?

In this article, we will explore the different ticket types available, the easiest way to purchase tickets, and where to find hotel packages for Tokyo Disney Resort.

Where to Buy Tickets to Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disney Sea

The obvious option is to purchase the tickets directly on the official Tokyo Disney Resort website. However, some visitors have reported difficulties doing so (e.g. their credit card wasn’t accepted). The good news is that there are alternatives (usually at more or less the same price), as shown below.

GetYourGuide

As of the time of writing this article, tickets have to be ordered in advance and cannot be purchased at the gates. If you are already in Japan, you can also purchase tickets at a convenience store (but some Japanese skills might be necessary).

Yet another option to purchase tickets, is to stay at a Disney Hotel, where you can purchase tickets on site (more below).

What Types of Tickets Are There, and What Do They Cost?

First, let me mention that ticket prices are the same for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, although they are separate parks and thus require separate tickets (unless you buy a multi-day ticket which provide entry to both parks). In most cases, tickets are only valid on the date(s) selected when purchasing.

Generally, there are three price levels: Adult (age 18+), Junior (age 12-17 and Child (age 4-11).

Note: Babies and toddlers up to 3 years old can enter for free!
