The lineup of the 2019 edition of Fuji Rock Festival has just been announced, and it’s got something for everyone! The festival features three headliners look like a journey through the 80/90/00’s: The Cure, Chemical Brothers and SIA.
Indie fans will be able to tap their toes to the tunes of The Lumineers and enjoy the musical worlds of James Blake or Death Cab for Cutie. Other promising acts include Thom York, Jason Mraz, Mitski or Gary Clark Jr.
If you ask me, Fuji Rock is gold: music festivals in Japan are arguably the cleanest and most well organized in the world. Plus, fans here are party-loving but considerate of others, at the same time.

FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, NAEBA SKI RESORT
July 26th-28th, 2019
This 3-day festival is not too far from Tokyo, the closest train station being “Echigo Yuzawa”. Other than the name would suggest, it’s not near Mt. Fuji (aka Fujiyama), but in a ski resort surrounded by lush nature. It feels more like a festival in the forest than in a ski resort. With around 100,000-150,000 attendees every year, it is definitely the largest in Japan.
