This post is about a tour in the past. You can find upcoming Eric Claption concerts in Japan >here<.
Eric ‘Slowhand’ Clapton just announced five shows at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. If you haven’t seen him live yet, here is the chance to experience the king of blues!
It’s safe to say that there will be a lot of covers from his favorites such as J.J. Cale or Robert Johnson, but also the famous crowd pleasers like “Tears in Heaven” or “Layla”. Clapton usually sticks more or less to the same set list on consecutive dates of the same tour.
Here are the exact dates of the five shows (doors usually open 1-2 hours before the beginning of the show):
Concert Dates
All at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo
April 13th (Sat) – Start: 18:00
April 15th (Mon) – Start: 19:00
April 17th (Wed) – Start: 19:00
April 18th (Thu) – Start: 19:00
April 20th (Sat) – Start: 17:00
Ticket categories
S seats: 15,000 yen
Almost all seats in the venue will be in this category, including arena seats, 1st as well as 2nd floor seats. The location of the seat is assigned automatically, based on how early the ticket is bought.
A seats: 14,000 yen
This category includes the seats of the very last rows of the most upper stands (2nd floor). The areas from which the stage is not or only partially visible are usually also A seats (e.g. on the far side or a little behind the stage). Compared to S seats, only very few seats will be A seats.
How to Buy Tickets
Regular sale is scheduled to start on February 9th. If you live in Japan, you can already purchase tickets through the official organizer UDO Artists (Japanese only). English sale might become available on that same site after Feb 9th, though the remaining seats will be worse than the ones available to the Japanese market now.
See our guides on how to purchase if you are already in Japan.
If tickets are already sold out at the time you read this, you can still contact us for help, or possibly find resale tickets on sites such as Viagogo.
