Download Festival Japan 2020

The line-up for Download Festival Japan 2020 is packed with major bands of the rock scene. The headliners are the emo titans My Chemical Romance which has just recently shook everyone with their come back announcement. Other big names joining them include Evanescence, The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, In Flames, and At The Gates.

Tickets: ¥16,500 (Standing) / ¥30,000 (VIP Standing)

Louis Tomlinson is touring the world this 2020 for his debut album “Walls” and he’s making a stop in Japan. Shooting to stardom as a former member of the boy band One Direction, he is now making a name for himself with his solo career. And he has been successful already with hit singles like “Just Hold On” and “Back to You.

New British indie pop band Swimming Tapes comes to Japan this 2020 for the first time. With Hitsujibungaku as opening act, they’re bringing their dreamy guitar-pop music and their debut album “Morningside.”

Homeshake is the solo musical project of Peter Sagar who is also the guitarist of Mac Demarcos band. He pays bedroom pop with a unique rhythmic fluctuation and loose singing that makes you feel the influence of jazz, soul and R & B. The last album Helium was released in 2019.

Scottish singer/songwriter Lewis Capaldi is coming to Tokyo for the tour of his debut album “Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.” His debut album has been a massive success as it topped UK Albums Chart for 6 weeks.

a-ha “play hunting high & low live”

A-ha will be back to Japan for the first time in 8 years after their 2010 Summer Sonic appearances.
Now they are embarking on a an special tour to celebrate their debut album “Hunting High & Low”. It was that very album, that catapulted them onto the pop world stage. Released in 1985, the album included their greatest hit “Take On Me”.

Tickets

General sale for the Japanese leg of the “Hunting High & Low Tour” started on August 31st on various Japanese outlets.
SS seats (area in front of the stage) are currently sold out for all shows except Nagoya 3/17.
You can find resale tickets on Viagogo.
S seats are still available through primary sale. However, purchasing tickets from overseas could be difficult to impossible without help. Japan-based proxy services such as Tickets Galore can get the tickets for you.
